During the meeting of the Council of Academics of the Portuguese Academy of History on the 21st of July, Lourenço Correia de Matos, partner at LMT Abreu Loureiro, Correia de Matos & Galvão Teles, was elected academic correspondent of this prestigious official institution, which depends on the Secretary of State of Culture and that is currently presided by Manuela Mendonça, lecturer at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon.

Restored in 1936, the Portuguese Academy of History is the heir of the Royal Academy of Portuguese History, created by king D. João V in 1720; counting 30 academics and 80 correspondents, all Portuguese, amongst whom João Bernardo Galvão Teles, equally a partner at LMT Abreu Loureiro, Correia de Matos & Galvão Teles.

João Bernardo Galvão Teles, partner at LMT Abreu Loureiro, Correia de Matos & Galvão Teles, was promoted to effective member of the Instituto Português de Heráldica during the meeting of the Board of Directors today.

The investigator was a corresponding member of this Institute, now becoming with his promotion to effective member part of the above-mentioned Board of Directors, of which Lourenço Correia de Matos is currently chairman, of this ancient institution established in 1929.
